I'm in the process of making an Amon Hen Aragorn as one was never made, but I'm having a problem with his arms. He has a pattern on his blue sleeves in the movie, but I can't see them properly. Can anyone shows me a picture of this? Thanks.

LMAO! ;D As soon as I saw the topic heading I knew who it was. This is the closest shot of his shoulder area I could find. There may be a pattern on his wrist area. Hope these help.

Rik!! You're here! ;D Glad to have you aboard man! If there is a pattern at the wrist don't worry it would be covered by Boromirs forearm guards. Unless you want a pre Boromir death version.

Thanks IK! ;D And thanks for the welcome! ;D Yeah I was hoping for a pre Boromir death Aragorn but I could just leave it blank and hope there isn't a pattern. Times like these make me wish I had FOTR on DVD!

Oh and I have another question - do you think I could put a sculpey covered arm in the oven?

Monday ;D Oh and I have another question - do you think I could put a sculpey covered arm in the oven? You can, but it will be very hard to get a consistant look without losing articulation. I'm going to assume you are using a HD Aragorn to make your Amon Hen Aragorn, correct? If so my advice would be to carefully remove the chainmail from his arms with a Dremel or sandpaper. Then to give his sleeves the loose look at the wrist only use the sculpy from about the mid forearm down to the wrist. shape the sculpy "sleeve" cuffs the way you want them and then bake. After it cools take your sandpaper and smooth out where the sculpy meets the arm so it blends well, and then paint his arms blue. That way you don't lose articulation in his arms. Hopefully this helps your cause.

I'd go the hair dryer route. That way you don't have to worry about messing up the arm. I actually looked at those pics, but I didn't think they were what you were looking for. Good luck on your figure. ;D
