Hey everyone, First off, I'd like to thank Red Dragon for inviting me to join up with his site. And though this is a bit of short notice, I wanted to extend the bit of news to you guys. Tdeadline to enter the Neal Adams Batman Custom Action Figure Giveaway contest is this upcoming Saturday, October 25th. The rules to enter are really simple. All you have to do is either donate something to charity or perform and act of generosity towards another. (Technically picking up figures for your fellow toygeek can count as an entry!) Anyway, a receipt is only necessary if you're making a donation to charity, but either way, simply email me a description of how you did your good deed, and we can include that among the entries. Don't miss out! Seriously, though, thanks for everyone who's participated so far. We'll announce the results at the end of next week. The results are in! In the two months since the Neal Adams Batman Charity Giveaway Contest was first announced, the response has been incredible. The Salvation Army alone received nearly $10,000 in donations, and these results don’t even include the long hours and good deeds people donated to help make someone else’s life a little better. We received numerous entries of people helping out others and convincing their friends to do the same. We certainly never expected this level of response, and we would personally like to thank each and every one of you who entered. With 172 entries, over 50 charities benefiting and even 4 automobiles being donated, everyone involved in the contest helped raise a whopping $126,875 for charities worldwide.
Now, without further ado, here are the winners of the Custom Batman Charity Giveaway:
Savilla Eliuk of Niagra Falls Chris Franklin (aka Earth-2 Robin) and Kurt Owen of Fort Pierce, Florida
We would like to thank all of those who helped spread the word and make this contest the success it was. It’s because of your acts of kindness that so many people will benefit. Winners we will be in contact with you soon.
Thanks again, Matt Cauley and Daniel Pickett aka- Iron-Cow and Julius Marx matt@ironcowprod.com JuliusMarx@aol.com
Those charities that benefited from everyone’s generosity include:
