Here it is! : The base figure used is a WWE Kane figure, the face was sanded off and replaced with a new one, BTW, I'm not pleased with the face expression. The belt, glove cuffs and head wings are some kind of hard vinyl. The boot tops and helmet are sculpted using plumber's putty. Then I airbrushed with red the needed parts and hand painted the rest. This is my first 6" DC figure. He has 10 points of articulation. JOhnny ;D

First off I must admit I have know idea who Orion is, sorry.
As a figure he looks great, nice sculpting aswell as painting, the helmet is nice and simetrical looking. Do you often use an airbrush, and why do you choose this over brushing? I ask because I usually customise 3 3/4" figures and and brushing is the simplist way. But I am open to new scales and have just finished my fist 6" custom, the first of many I hope.

Another great job JOhnny! He looks great, The painting is nice and tight and the facial expression looks good to me!
Nice Job! Get a tighter shot of his bust and maybe you can use him in the banner? ;D

I'll say , face looks good to me as well.. i'm not that familiar w/ orion, isn't he the son of Darkseid? I'm not good w/ my DC history, seeing as they see fit to change it every year..
Bang up job, keep them coming, and I'll keep envying them....

As for your question, I use airbrush when I have to paint a large area of a paricular color, and because I sometimes get lazy ;D. I seldom use drybrush, I like it though, but I prefer to use it in other kinds of paint jobs, like in dioramas. (Yes, I'm working in a diorama, I post pics later) Hope I helped! JOhnny ;D
